  1. Chicago just invented contract cronyism; it took Darth Cheney to advance it to another level entirely.

    My favorite ever Daley contract scam:

    FWIW, the Panda Express was party to an only-in-America scam: a politically connected but not terribly successful developer (of Arab descent) using a cancer-stricken African American businessman as a front to profit off of Brits’ [connecting passengers’] (apparent) desire for “real” Chinese food.
