So, a press release (after jump) went out for an event launching DriveLessLiveMore.Com a few weeks ago, but there’s still nothing there. Sounds very promising, though: sponsored by IDOT, RTA, ISTHA, CATS, CTA, Metra, and Pace. Who would have thought these folks would ever actually sat down at a table together, much less promote something as radical as _driving less_?

Ogilvie Transportation Center Lower Level (off Canal
Street)
The drive less. live more. campaign is geared to
empower commuters with information and real solutions
to help them look at alternatives to their daily
commute.
The campaign will work to ease congestion in
northeastern Illinois by encouraging the use of
driving alternatives like public transit, carpools and
even telecommuting.
The whole program is centered on the commuter and the
tools available to make the commute more manageable
and time better spent.
The campaign is brought to the people of northeastern
Illinois through an unprecedented partnership among
the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT), the
Regional Transportation Authority (RTA), the Illinois
State Toll Highway Authority, The Chicago Area
Transportation Study (CATS), the Chicago Transit
Authority (CTA), Metra, and Pace Suburban Transit.
